yes, it’s about the cream cheese frosting

Woot! Here is the recipe. I do get many requests for this recipe and it’s very easy. So here it is.

2 sticks of butter

4 cups sugar

8 oz cream cheese

1/4 cup whipping cream

1-2 TBS vanilla

Mix cream cheese and butter till fluffy and smooth. Add powder sugar 1 cup at a time alternate with whipping cream slowly after each batch of powder sugar. Mix vanilla last, voila!

    • Thanks Shweta! I liked your blog post as well. And I agree icing is thinner and glossier. Even though in the U.S. we will use the 2 terms interchangeably. The secret to this recipe in this blog post is the heavy cream. It makes the frosting really really thick which you can pipe high. Because of the heavy cream and cream cheese in the frosting – your cakes/cupcakes will always need to be refridgerated – which is fine. Thanks for visiting!!!
